The Great Dave Ramsey Debate

It somewhat surprises me when I see arguments about whether Dave is right or not on this issue or that issue. Should the emergency fund be parked here? Should we pay off debts in this order or that order. People are forever arguing with Dave about his plan. Here are a couple from a great site (even though not very Pro-Dave) , MasterYourCard.
It is called the DAVE RAMSEY PLAN, so Dave is automatically right if you want to argue about the mechanics of his plan. He doesn’t say that he has the one and only perfect plan for getting out of debt when it comes down to the technical aspects. The big picture is this …
The idea here is simple. If you don’t have any payments and you live on a written game plan, then you are able to have money and when you’ve got money, you can build wealth. It’s not any deeper than that. - Dave Ramsey Show 5.16.8, 3rd Hour, 2:30.
