Goodbye CableOne, Hello Direct TV and the Fox Business Network’s Dave Ramsey Show …

CableOne should change their slogan to … “Watch us make you mad.”
I recently had to dump my long-time cable provider, CableOne. They didn’t have The Fox Business Network and thus didn’t have the new Dave Ramsey Show that comes on every night in primetime.
I gave CableOne a chance and yes I understand there are costs issues and negotiations going on behind the scenes. This must be especially true since, in our community, Comedy Central was voted off the island by the local public via a poll in the local newspaper. Apparently, in order to add the spell-binding programming of the PAX NETWORK, something else had to go.
Flash forward a few years and Dave’s new show premieres on October 15, 2007.
I called CableOne about a dozen times to ask about when I might get the Fox Business Network. Most every human being that I talked to was totally clueless. The vast majority of the time, I was just ignored. I sent 10 or 20 emails on this subject also. They had their chance.
No sign of the FBN in sight at CableOne, I dumped them in February 2008 and switched to Direct TV, where Dave’s show is happily on every night at 8 PM Eastern on Channel 359. Not only that, but I don’t know how I lived without a DVR. The DVR records Dave’s show every night and I can watch at my convenience.
I am loving Direct TV. 3 free months of all the movie channels when you sign up too. It cannot be beat.
