Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University Ideas HUGE for Families Impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD), Aspergers

I am going to keep this short, sweet and to the point.
First, some say 85% of Autism Impacted families end up in divorce (Oprah). Who knows the real %, but I think it is safe to say that …
Autism = Potential Stress
and
Autism Stress = Potential Divorce.
Second, money fights and money problems are the #1 cause for divorce in North America and probably the world. Combined those two are a near perfect storm for even the best of families.
Money Problems = Potential Stress
and
Money Stress = Potential Divorce.
Do not believe what you have learned about money in America! Normal is broke (Dave). Look around, people borrow money without a second thought. They live to build up their credit scores. If you don’t think this is true, do a little experiment for me. Tell someone that you don’t give a hoot about your credit score and that your #1 goal in life is to have a ZERO credit score.
Go ahead, try it, come back when you are done.
Chances are, if you tell a normal American that you don’t care if you have a credit score, they will look at you like you just said the earth was flat. The only reason to have a credit score is so you can go deeply in debt for the honor of going MORE deeply in debt. The more you borrow, the more payments you send to the bank, the higher your score. This is insane, especially when you consider the credit score game was designed by the freakin’ banks.
Get rid of your payments. Free up your most powerful wealth building tool, your income. Imagine how much less stress there would be in your life if you didn’t owe anyone and you got to actually keep your money and build wealth (or pay for Autism services which we all know are NOT CHEAP!)
Just read the book and get out of debt. You have enough to worry about.
Having Financial Peace, being DEBT FREE!!!!!! and not paying payments gives you a freedom that you cannot even imagine until you have been there. Get rid of financial stress in your family and improve your odds of having a great marriage in spite of Autism, maybe even because of it in some cases.
